im new to game and have take a planet over but its only able to have 7or 8 building built on it and its full so using a spot on this one is a waste so i want to give up control so i can colonise a diffrent planet. am i able to do this or am i stuck with this trash planet ?

Go to Overview, click on the planet picture, there will be an option to abandon planet. Ideally you want 200+ fields, 300+ if you plan to stay a long time.
