Following Vasily Malevich's proposal to move to a vote on specific properties of new units, the Senate is submitting for official discussion a targeted balance reform designed to bring back the thrill of space flight and combat.


Granting the Arbiter unit the ability to hide flight tracks

Proposal summary: The Arbiter unit (when part of a fleet) is given a unique ability—completely hiding the fleet's flight track from the general radar.

Why this is needed: Automatic tracking radar has killed the art of surprise raids and ambush. The Arbiter will be the long-awaited solution that will restore attackers' chance for tactical maneuver. At the same time, balance will not be compromised: the victim will still have a chance to react when an attack begins (via notification or local scanning), and alliance defenders will increase their chances of early detection and retain the ability to predict and catch the attacker on the way back. This will bring adrenaline back into space without disrupting the overall concept.


Vasily personally noted that he likes this idea. We ask the Senate to formalize the gaming community's position.

Большинство сенаторов проголосовало против нововведения. Значит атакерам надо думать о новых стратегиях, а админисрации может быть чем-то им помочь, но не арбитром.
